Checks on Golem beach/ 190 sets of umbrellas and sun loungers seized

Police Services, increased checks on the coastline, following the police operation codenamed "Free Beach", with the aim of freeing up public spaces.      

2 spaces on Golem beach, which were illegally occupied, are being released.    

190 sets of umbrellas and sun loungers are seized.    

1 citizen is being prosecuted.

The services of the Kavaja Police Commissariat, within the framework of the "Free Beach" operation plan, have continued controls along the entire coastline, with the aim of freeing public spaces that are occupied without the relevant permit, by entities on the coast or by vacationers themselves, by setting up umbrellas and sun loungers.        

During the inspections, in 2 public spaces on the Golem coast, 190 sets of umbrellas and sun loungers were removed and seized, which had been placed illegally by a citizen who claimed to have a permit for use and by a citizen.      

Following the actions, the materials were referred to the Prosecutor's Office where proceedings were initiated in the absence of citizen LS, a resident of Tirana.

 Police services will continue checks along the entire coastline, with the aim of freeing up public spaces for vacationers, and verifying the activities carried out by subjects during the summer season. /CNA
