Rreth orës 20:00, shërbimi i Urgjencës së Spitalit të Durrësit ka njoftuar se ka shkuar  për ndihmë mjekësore shtetasi belg H. K., 21 vjeç.

Menjëherë pas njoftimit, shërbimet e Policisë kanë shkuar në spital dhe nga veprimet e para hetimore ka rezultuar se në zonën e Shkëmbit të Kavajës, pranë bregdetit, ky shtetas dyshohet se gjatë manovrave ka humbur kontrollin mbi një mjet lundrues (Jet Ski) dhe ka rënë në ujë.

Si pasojë, ai ka pësuar dëmtime të rënda dhe nga Spitali Rajonal i Durrësit është transportuar menjëherë drejt Spitalit të Traumës në Tiranë, ku ndodhet në gjendje të rëndë shëndetësore.

Policia ka shoqëruar në Komisariat për veprime të mëtejshme procedurale pronarin e mjetit lundrues, shtetasin S. Xh.
