Accident with one victim in Durrës/ Driver sent to prison

The Court of First Instance of Durrës has ordered the security measure of imprisonment for citizen A.Xh, who had an accident on January 15 and caused a victim.

The young man is suspected of having committed the criminal offenses of "Irregular driving" and "Violation of traffic rules", after being drunk.

For this, the court has imposed the security measure of arrest with imprisonment. We recall that the young man was found to be drunk after the test conducted after the accident.

“Criminal case No. 26 Act, with the object of “Legally validating the arrest and imposing a security measure against citizen A. Xh. suspected of committing the criminal offense of “Irregular driving” provided for by article 291 of the Criminal Code and “Violation of road traffic rules”, provided for by article 290/3 of the Criminal Code”

The Prosecutor's Office at the Court of First Instance of General Jurisdiction of Durrës (Appellant), represented by Prosecutor Ms. Matilda Fetau.

This matter is under review before the available Judge Mr. Orgent Nazaj.

The court hearing will take place on 17.01.2026, at 10:00.

At the end of the judicial review, for the above-mentioned case, the First Instance Court of General Jurisdiction of Durrës has issued Decision No. 26, dated 17.01.2026, where it has decided: "Arrest in prison"./ CNA
