Cocaine and weapons/ 45-year-old caught red-handed

Police have arrested 45-year-old citizen EK after he was caught red-handed near the TEG roundabout with a quantity of cocaine.

After the searches carried out in his apartment, weapons were also found. The amount of cocaine seized is 1.3 kg.

"The Services of the Narcotics Investigation Section, following successive operations to crack down on criminal activities in the field of narcotics, within the framework of a criminal proceeding pursued with proactive methods, under the direction of the Prosecutor's Office at the First Instance Court of General Jurisdiction of Tirana, have organized and finalized the police operation codenamed "Cargo 1".

As a result of this operation, citizen EK, 45 years old, resident of Tirana, was captured and arrested in flagrante delicto.

Police services have located citizen EK in a parking lot, near the Tegu Roundabout, and found a quantity of cocaine on him, which he is suspected of possessing with the intention of selling in large quantities in different areas of Tirana.

Further, during the search of the apartment, 1 hunting gun and 1 sporting gun were found. The narcotics, along with 1 motor vehicle, 1 mobile phone, 1 hunting gun and 1 sporting gun, were seized as material evidence," the police announced./ CNA
