Ukrainian officials have said that Russian forces are shelling all settlements along the west bank of the Dnipro River in the southern Kherson region, including the recently liberated territory.

Serhii Khlan, a member of the Kherson regional council, told a press conference that the invaders continue to bombard the city of Kherson and the western coastal part of the Kherson region.

"They are bombing absolutely all the settlements along the banks of the Dnipro River," he said, CNN reports.

He said there were no casualties, but Russian forces continue to attack vital infrastructure.

"Energy company crews are working to fully restore power to the city of Kherson. Critical infrastructure has been supplied, but not all. Hospitals have received electricity," he said.

"Unfortunately, it is not yet possible to fully supply water," said Khlan. "The Internet started working, not in the whole city, but in some areas. Now we can say that 20% of consumers are connected in Kherson."

Khlan said only a quarter of Kherson city's pre-war population of 320,000 remains, and more people are leaving every day because of bombings and lack of services./ CNA.al
