Vucic leaves hospital/ Plans to attend Moscow parade on May 9

Serbian President Aleksandar Vu?i? has been discharged from the Military Medical Academy in Belgrade, after a brief hospitalization due to chest pain, which he experienced during a visit to the United States.

Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Finance, Sinisa Mali, confirmed that Vu?i? left the hospital at around 17:00 local time and is now resting on medical advice.

"The president is feeling better. He asked to convey this to all citizens of Serbia," Mali told national broadcaster RTS.

Vu?i? has canceled all official activities in the coming days, but has not withdrawn from his planned visit to Moscow on May 9 for the Victory Parade.

"Knowing him, and since he is a man of his word, I assume he will keep his promise," Mali said.

Cardiologist Dragan Din?i?, who treated the president, confirmed that his condition is stable, but noted that he would need a few days of rest before resuming duties.

Vu?i? previously stated that he intends to attend the May 9 event in Moscow, saying that he would be there unless something happens to him or a threat is presented to Serbia.

Vu?i? announced on April 16 that he would attend the Victory Day Parade in Moscow, despite warnings from European Union officials that such a move could jeopardize Serbia's bid for EU membership./CNA
