Murder of Liridona Ademaj / Pristina Prosecution requests life sentence for 3

The Basic Prosecution Office of Pristina has requested life imprisonment for the three accused in the murder of Liridona Ademaj.

The sensational event occurred on November 29, 2023, carried out in the presence of the victim's two minor children, who were only 4 and 6 years old at the time.

In her closing statement, the prosecutor in the case, Javorka Perlinjkevic, stated that the evidence collected proves beyond any reasonable doubt that Naim Murseli, Granit Plava and Kushtrim Kokalla committed the criminal offenses they are accused of.

According to the Prosecution, no mitigating circumstances in favor of the accused were identified during the trial. On the contrary, the special importance of the crime, the manner in which it was committed, and the behavior of the accused after the event, including attempts to manipulate and influence public opinion, were highlighted.

In conclusion, the Prosecution proposed to the court to find the accused guilty and, taking into account the nature and circumstances of the crime, as well as the absence of any mitigating circumstances, to impose on them the maximum sentence for aggravated murder, life imprisonment. /CNA
