The helicopter of the Russian Federal Security Service crashes/ 3 people lose their lives

A Russian Federal Security Service (FSB) helicopter has crashed in central Russia, killing at least three people, regional officials said.

The MI-8 helicopter crashed in the village of Krasnoe Pole in the Chelyabinsk region, the governor said without providing information on the causes of this incident.

"According to preliminary information, three people have died," Governor Aleksei Teksler said in a post on social networks.

He added that there was no damage to buildings or people at the site where the helicopter, which he said belonged to the FSB, crashed.

Air accidents in Russia are common due to the lack of safety and aircraft maintenance regulations. But air accidents have become more frequent since Moscow began its invasion of Ukraine in February of last year./ REL
