Putin convenes the Security Council today/ The next move is planned

Russian President Vladimir Putin will hold a virtual meeting of the Russian Security Council on October 19.

"It is planned to examine issues related to the neutralization of threats to national security in the migration area and the regulation of migration processes in the interest of the socio-economic development of the country and socio-political stability," the Kremlin said in a statement yesterday. 

Russian Security Council Deputy Chairman Dmitry Medvedev will submit a report, the Kremlin said. In August, he said members of the commission to improve the government's migration policy had been preparing for such a meeting for more than six months and had done a lot of work.

The last meeting of an expanded Security Council was held in May. Putin routinely, as a rule, once a week, holds meetings on current issues with the permanent members of the Security Council./ CNA.al
