Over 15 thousand victims from the earthquakes in Turkey and Syria

Over 15,000 people have lost their lives as a result of the powerful earthquakes of February 6 in Turkey and Syria.

In Turkey, more than 60,000 people have been injured and more than 12,873 have lost their lives, according to the disaster management agency. Over 2,900 victims have been reported in Syria.

The first quake on February 6 was a magnitude 7.8 with an epicenter about 26 kilometers from Nurdagi city and about 33 kilometers from Gaziantep city, the US Geological Survey said. Also, during the same day, another powerful earthquake of 7.5 magnitude was recorded.
