Kurti meets QUINT ambassadors/Details from the discussion

The Prime Minister of Kosovo, Albin Kurti, on Friday, May 12, hosted the ambassadors of the QUINT countries (United States of America, Great Britain, Germany, France and Italy) and the head of the European Union Office in Kosovo.

Besnik Bislimi, deputy prime minister and chief negotiator of Kosovo in the dialogue with Serbia, was also present at the meeting.

In the announcement of the Office of the Prime Minister of Kosovo, it is stated that in the meeting with the QUINT ambassadors, the head of the Government of Kosovo discussed the "dialogue process" and the "implementation of the Basic Agreement with Serbia and the implementation annex" for which the two countries agreed on February 27 in Brussels and on March 18 in Ohrid.

"Prime Minister Kurti and Deputy Prime Minister Bislimi emphasized that the Basic Agreement and the implementation annex must be implemented unconditionally, without delays and in full," the announcement states.

Also, as it is said, the meeting also discussed the need for "the EU to hold Serbia responsible for the continuous violations it is committing to the agreement".

The Kosovo authorities have previously accused Serbia of violating the Agreement towards the normalization of relations, for which the parties have agreed in Brussels and Ohrid.

Serbia, in April, has voted against Kosovo's membership in the Council of Europe, despite the fact that with the Agreement towards normalization it has pledged not to prevent Pristina from joining international organizations.

Likewise, officials in Belgrade have warned that they will apply the measure of reciprocity to states that do not respect its territorial integrity.

The Kosovo-Serbia dialogue process will continue with the next meeting of the chief negotiators, which is expected to take place on May 15.
