Kurti: Most of the attackers in Banjska, members of the Civil Defense or the

The Prime Minister of Kosovo, Albin Kurti, said on Tuesday that the preliminary information of the Kosovo authorities shows that the vast majority of people involved in the attack on the Kosovo Police in Banjska in Zveçan, on September 24, are either members of the organization, Civil Defense or of the Northern Brigade - both declared terrorists in Kosovo, in June of this year.

As a result of the attacks in Banjska, the sergeant of the Kosovo Police, Afrim Bunjaku, was killed.

During the clashes with the police, three attackers were also killed.

According to Kurt, the most important issue currently is the security of Kosovo and the punishment for the attackers of the Kosovo Police.

"The punishment for the attackers means the punishment of Serbia, which supported financially, militarily, logistically, politically, publicly, officially, what happened in Banjska i Zve?ani, but at the same time the extradition, the surrender of all those who are being persecuted, because he fled from the place of crime and from our country", Kurti said as he participated in a round table of the Pristina Institute for Political Studies (PIPS) regarding the achievements so far and the expectations from the Berlin Process.

He also commented on a debate that is expected to be held by the European Parliament on Tuesday, regarding the developments in the north of Kosovo.

"I believe that the discussions that will take place in the future, including those in the forums of the European Union, the highest of them the European Parliament, in terms of democratic citizen involvement, are security for Kosovo, punishments for the attackers, and at the same time, let's not try to continue with any idea of ??the status quo, which may exist and I don't believe that anyone should", said Kurti.

The responsibility for the attacks in Banjska has been taken by Millan Radoicic, former vice-president of the Serbian List.

The President of Serbia, Aleksandar Vu?i?, has said that he is in "central Serbia" and the authorities there have interrogated him "in the capacity of a citizen".

The Kosovo authorities have blamed Serbia for the attack, but the authorities in Belgrade have rejected this accusation.

The attack on the Police in Banjska has been strongly condemned by the United States and the European Union and a call has been made to bring the attackers to justice./ REL
