The fashion boss is accused of exploiting men for sex

The former CEO of Abercrombie & Fitch and his British partner face charges of exploiting men for sex.

A BBC investigation revealed that a highly organized network used an intermediary to find young people for events with Mike Jeffries and Matthew Smith.

Eight men told the BBC they took part in the events, some of whom claimed they had been exploited or abused.

Jeffries and Smith did not respond to requests for comment.

But the couple's mediator denied any wrongdoing and said the men went into these events "with their eyes wide open".

Abercrombie & Fitch (A&F) - which also owns the Hollister brand - said it was "appalled and disgusted" by the alleged behaviour.

Two former US prosecutors who independently reviewed documents and evidence uncovered by the BBC have called for an investigation to determine whether sex trafficking charges can be brought. Under US law, sex trafficking involves taking an adult for traveled to another state or country to have sex for money using force, fraud or coercion./ CNA
