London Mayor Sadiq Khan wants the UK to make a new deal with the European Union so that young Britons can move to the EU to live, study and work there without any barriers, just like before Brexit. reports SchengenVisaInfo.com.

Stressing that he is not seeking EU reunification, Khan has said the deal could be done through a "youth mobility" deal with EU member states, or changes to work visa rules after Brexit.

Through the deal, or changes, Khan wants to make it possible for young people from the UK to study, travel and fill vacancies in key sectors of the economy in EU countries.

Mayor Khan's proposal has been criticized by many politicians in the UK, including Conservative Party leader Richard Holden.

Many believe Khan is using the issue as part of his campaign for a third term as mayor of the UK capital in May's mayoral election. 

However, this is not the first time Khan has made such a proposal, as in April 2023, he asked the UK government to ease post-Brexit visa rules that prevent EU citizens from visiting London for tourism purposes. , work and study.
