IDF advances in Gaza suburbs/ Israel declares 45 hectares of land as its state

The Israeli army has advanced into Gaza City, with soldiers and tanks heading towards Sheikh Radwan, one of the city's largest and busiest neighborhoods, Reuters reports on its website.

In recent weeks, Israeli forces have advanced through the outer suburbs of Gaza City and are pushing towards the city center, despite international calls to halt the offensive.

As IDF military operations in Gaza City intensified, some 80,000 residents have fled the city, most of them in the past 72 hours. Another 10,000 left over the weekend. Tens of thousands of residents have managed to bypass militia checkpoints and flee the city.

According to international media, the Civil Administration of the Israeli Defense Ministry has declared 456 dunams (45 hectares) of land adjacent to the Havat Gilad outpost in the northern West Bank as state land, meaning it will be available for settlements and infrastructure development. Previously, the land was part of the administrative lands of the nearby Palestinian villages of Jit, Tell and Fara'ata, although it is not privately owned.

Anyone claiming private ownership of these lands can appeal within 45 days.

ANSA reports that the European Parliament will meet next week and for the first time since the start of the IDF's military operations, it will vote on a resolution regarding the situation in Gaza./ CNA
