Manchester attack/Starmer urgently returns to London, convenes cabinet

British Prime Minister Keir Starmer has returned to London urgently to chair a meeting of the emergency committee following the Manchester attack.

Starmer cut short his visit to Denmark after the Manchester attack, which was described by authorities as terrorist.

Also part of the meeting were Deputy Prime Minister David Lammy and Metropolitan Police Chief Mark Rowley.

The terrorist attack occurred this Thursday at a synagogue in Manchester, Great Britain.

A loud explosion was heard around 2:30 p.m. A bomb disposal unit was later called to the scene.

Three people have died following the incident, including the suspected perpetrator. Greater Manchester Police confirmed that three other people remain in a serious condition.
