Barrage of Russian drones over Kiev/Ukraine in an attempt to destroy it

Ukraine's air force has said Russia launched more than 30 drones on the country's capital in overnight airstrikes.

For about two hours, Kiev and the surrounding region were reduced to rubble after the military destroyed 26 of 33 drones, the Ukrainian air force said.

One person was injured during the attack.

It comes after two foreign aid workers were reported killed in eastern Ukraine on Sunday after Russian shelling hit a van carrying a team of four working with the Ukrainian non-profit organization Road to Relief.

Volunteers were trapped inside the van as it overturned and burst into flames after being hit near the town of Chasiv Yar, the organization said on Instagram./ CNA
