The head of diplomacy of the European Union, Josep Borrell, has invited the Prime Minister of Kosovo, Albin Kurti, and the President of Serbia, Aleksandar Vucic, to a meeting in Brussels, sources in the European bloc confirmed for Radio Free Europe.
The news was then confirmed by the EU spokesperson, Peter Stano.
Kurti and Vucic have received an invitation to continue the dialogue, where all open issues between the two countries will be discussed.
The spokesperson of the EU, Peter Stano, said that the institutions of the EU, as well as the member states, are observing "with concern" the events in Kosovo.
According to the decision, all citizens of Serbia who will enter Kosovo will be provided with an entry-exit document upon entering the territory of the state. This document will be valid for 90 days.
Meanwhile, the second decision on license plates states that all persons who have cars with license plates bearing the abbreviations of the cities of Kosovo, which are issued by Serbia, must re-register their cars.
After the tensions in the north of Kosovo, the Government of Kosovo promised to postpone the implementation of the decision for 30 days, when the barricades are removed.
Some barricades in Rudare began to be removed on the morning of August 1.
Otherwise, within the dialogue mediated by the EU, Kurti and Vucic met twice, and both meetings did not bring any concrete results.
Their last meeting took place in July 2021./REL
