The Kosovo Police has confirmed that so far there is no official information about injuries to citizens or any police officers, following the tensions in the north.

In a press release, the police announced that the border points in Jarinje and Bernjak continue to be closed to traffic.

"OFFICIAL INFORMATION (no. 2)

Pristina, July 31, 2022

Referring to the official information so far, road blockages continue in several different locations in the North of Mitrovica in the direction of the two border crossing points Jarinje and Bernjak, which points are closed to traffic.

So far there is no official information about any injuries of citizens or any police officers, therefore we invite and appeal to all media and citizens not to fall prey to information-fake news, which tend to destabilize the situation and create of panic.

The Kosovo Police continues its engagements with police units, in providing security for all citizens without distinction, in the interest of maintaining order and public safety," the announcement states. /CNA.al
