World Bank: Ukraine needs 411 billion dollars for reconstruction

The World Bank has said that Ukraine will need 411 billion dollars for the reconstruction of the state.

These assessments were made a year after the start of Russia's war on Ukrainian territory.

The document, which was compiled by the Ukrainian government, the World Bank, the European Commission and the United Nations, foresees that Kiev will seek "$14 billion for critical reconstruction in 2023".

To meet these needs, the Ukrainian government will need $11 billion more than it has foreseen in the 2023 budget.

Russia's war in Ukraine has resulted in the displacement of millions of people and global increases in food and energy prices.

“Infrastruktura e energjisë, strehimi, infrastruktura kritike, ekonomia dhe deminimi janë prioritetet tona kryesore këtë vit”, ka thënë kryeministri ukrainas, Denys Shmygal, përmes një deklarate.

Mirëpo Shmygal ka paralajmëruar se “shkalla e dëmeve dhe nevojat për rindërtime, nuk përfshijnë të dhënat për humbje të infrastrukturës, strehimit dhe bizneseve në territoret e pushtuara”.

Ai ka thënë se kur forcat mbrojtëse t’i çlirojnë ato territore, autoritetet do të nisin punën dhe vlerësimet në to.

Lufta në Ukrainë ka nisur më 24 shkurt 2022.
