A serious event happened this Monday in Switzerland where two people were killed and another was injured.

A man reportedly opened fire at two locations in the southern Swiss city of Sion and then fled the scene.

The suspect was caught and arrested Monday afternoon.

Authorities were alerted to an injured person in a parking lot in Sion, the capital of the canton of Valais, at 7:15 a.m., police said. They found a 34-year-old woman with fatal gunshot wounds.

A 41-year-old man was fatally shot minutes later, while a 49-year-old woman was wounded. The two killed and the injured woman are from the Valais region, police said.

The suspect was eventually caught by police in the St. Leonard, according to the Swiss police. According to the police, it seems that the doras knew his victims. The police did not give any other details nor did they show what the motives of the attack could have been.

Prosecutors have launched an investigation into this case.
