Income from social networks/Taxes: Around 33 million euros undeclared

The General Directorate of Taxes has announced that it has launched an investigation into 100 individuals who have benefited from income from social networks.

In the announcement made by Taxes, it is stated that it is suspected that there are 33 million euros undeclared.

Furthermore, taxpayers are invited to fulfill their obligations as soon as possible to avoid penalties or other measures that lead to an in-depth investigation.

" The Directorate of Investigation has launched an investigation into 100 individuals/entities for income derived from social platforms (Facebook; TikTok; YouTube; Instagram; Google; PayPal), where preliminary verifications suspect around 33 million euros of undeclared income.

The Tax Administration announced on March 29, through social networks, that individuals and entities should fulfill their legal obligations through self-declaration in DIVA 2024.

"We invite taxpayers who have not yet reacted to fulfill this obligation as soon as possible, to avoid penalties and other measures that an in-depth investigation may bring ," writes Taxes.
