Tirana Local Taxes and Fees: Pay your 2026 dues on time to avoid penalties

The General Directorate of Local Taxes and Tariffs at the Municipality of Tirana (DPTTV) announces that during the month of March, the process of generating and distributing notices for local tax and tariff obligations for the tax year 2026 was completed. This process includes both commercial entities for business obligations, as well as individuals who are owners of commercial units for real estate tax obligations.

"To facilitate access and transparency, the notices have been made available electronically through the "e-Albania" platform, where every taxpayer in the capital can consult the relevant obligation in his profile. At the same time, to guarantee complete information, they have also been sent by mail to the physical addresses self-declared by the taxpayers," the announcement states.

DPTTV appeals to all taxpayers to make payments on time and within the legally established deadlines, thus avoiding penalties, late interest and fines that apply in case of delay.

The deadline for payment of local taxes and fees for businesses is May 31, 2026. Meanwhile, for the real estate tax for owners of commercial units, the first installment must be paid by April 20, 2026 and the second installment by June 30, 2026.

The General Directorate of Local Taxes and Tariffs emphasizes in the announcement that it remains committed to providing service and assistance to every taxpayer, inviting all citizens and businesses to verify their obligations in a timely manner and respect the relevant deadlines.
