New draft law for the Central Bank of Kosovo/Digital revolution for serving businesses

A new draft law currently under consideration aims for a digital revolution in Albania, in terms of service to businesses.

The initiative aims to align Albanian legislation with European Union requirements for business registration, procedures and the commercial register.

The draft law will connect the National Business Center (NBC) with the European BRIS (Business Registers Interconnection System) system, to enable electronic data exchange with EU country registers. It also aims to eliminate current gaps in transparency and facilitate processes for foreign investors.

The new draft law focuses on several key points, such as full digitalization, where in addition to online registration, it will also be possible to use electronic identification issued by EU countries, reducing costs and bureaucracy. /CNA
