Governor Sejko hosts the new director of the AFSA/Discussions on the medium-term economic perspective

The Governor of the Bank of Albania, Gent Sejko, received this Thursday in an official meeting the new Executive Director of the Financial Supervisory Authority, Adela Xhemali.

As announced through a statement from the BoA, Sejko congratulated Xhemal on his new assignment and shared the main developments in the Albanian economy, with a focus on financial stability and medium-term prospects.

During the meeting, the importance of strengthening inter-institutional cooperation, consumer protection, increasing transparency and supervisory coordination between the banking and non-banking sectors was emphasized.

The parties reaffirmed their commitment to continued cooperation within the framework of European integration and to supporting the country's macroeconomic stability./ CNA
