The desperate reaction of Erion and his lawyers

Erion Veliaj has published today a position of his lawyers from two law firms, precisely those who we said had lobbied, who held positions, who had published the news of the Eagle's mother, who had read Franz Kafka, exactly one day after the Supreme Court's decision.


A Supreme Court that, according to journalist and Erion Veliaj's advisor, Mero Baze, is a decision given by socialist judges.
At least that's what Mero Baze said yesterday in his editorial.

Erion Veliaj's reaction today is a disappointing one.

Even today, after more than 5 months, the mayor of Tirana, who is behind bars, has not made an exhaustive explanation of the charges brought against him. He continues and says that there are no charges. In fact, Veliaj is in prison by decision of the courts at all levels, from the Appeal of the GJKKO to the Supreme Court. So, all levels of the courts of Albania have left the mayor of Tirana in prison, who has a total of 13 charges, of which 9 charges for corruption, 1 charge for abuse of office, 1 charge for laundering the proceeds of a criminal offense, 1 for bringing prohibited items into prison and 1 for concealing and failing to declare assets.

So, instead of clarifying the accusations, the mayor still continues to publish photos with the mayor's scarf, maintaining a clear stance that he will continue his legal battles.
No one is stopping Erion Veliaj from continuing his legal battles, but he lies that there are no charges against him. The Criminal Procedure Code of the Republic of Albania clearly defines how to prosecute persons who commit such criminal offenses and may destroy evidence. This Criminal Code and this justice reform were also voted for by Erion Veliaj in July 2016.

So, everything Erioni has done today is simply the same thing, the same situation, propaganda . He has chosen several law firms and large lobbyists . He pays hundreds of thousands and millions of euros, the source of which has not yet been clarified and has not yet been made public.
Before these law firms come out, Erioni should say: "Yes, my brother finances them". But what are they, how much are they paid, while his brother himself is a person under investigation by SPAk, as various private companies that give millions and millions of euros to Arbër Veliaj for advertising and distribution of their campaigns, win tenders in the Municipality of Tirana, but this belongs to the investigations.

So today again, with a depressing reaction, Erion seeks to play the role of the victim, even though the sentence was handed down by a high court, according to leading journalists and leading minds on the left, such as Mero Baze and people closest to Erion Veliaj and the Prime Minister.

In the Supreme Court, Erion Veliaj had a judicial body that was actually made up of judges who were left-wing, socialist, and could be influenced by the government.
No one can say that they were not influenced. The truth is that the Supreme Court upheld the decision of the Court of Appeal, after reviewing it, so it did not reject Erion Veliaj's appeal, but it heard the lawyers and finally issued the decision after reading the decision of the Court of Appeal.

So, we are after a depressing reaction, from a man who is probably totally incorrigible and on his darkest day, with the old party song "We dance in the wolf's mouth", which he has probably learned from history, just as he learned from Kafka, to use in the texts he publishes in international media./CNA
