The US Embassy in Tirana yesterday congratulated the Albanian people on the elections. So, the opposition's last hope, that the Americans would not recognize the elections, but would maintain a critical stance towards them, fell. It fell faster than expected.

The embassy could not congratulate the elections without receiving confirmation from the State Department, so anyone who follows politics understands that the issue of the elections is a closed chapter, despite any criticism that may be leveled at them.

In fact, there are two approaches: One that everything was stolen and the other approach that these were free and very democratic elections and that Edi Rama had a plebiscite vote.

In fact, there is a third way , there may have been oppression in the elections, but to any cold and rational mind, any oppression did not affect the victory of the socialists.

Unfortunately, exactly what we said happened, because in many of Albania's cities, municipalities and areas, the Democrats did not have commissioners, they had a disorganized organization, not just a matter of lists of people who should create the spirit and create the organization, a DP that no longer has an organizational structure, does not function down in the cell, dispersed, without a stable political leadership that also comes from constant clashes within the group, with divisions with new parties, with faces that gave hope to the Right, such as the case of Agron Shehaj, honest people, who used to appear in small parties with political clowns who had expectations of votes and these only harmed the Democratic Party.

Therefore, the loss would be devastating for the Democrats, it would not simply be a loss that would hurt them a little, because the Socialists would receive 72 or 74 mandates, Rama was expected to increase by 2-4 mandates, although he had an increase of 9 mandates.

Where does the political and public problem lie at this moment?

What the Democratic Party is doing in principle after that stance of the American Embassy unfortunately seems to be further damaging it. Berisha is continuing with his own, he has every legitimate right to criticize the elections, he has always had this instrument in his hand, he also taught this instrument to Lulzim Basha.

The point is that all that campaign and that electoral program that were actually really worth appreciating, the current actions of the opposition, its powerlessness, the behavior it is doing, its articulation in public, and some movements are showing that it is very weak and has emerged from the elections crushed . This makes you think that we are heading towards Edi Rama I.
