Erion Veliaj, his fate of "hope and foolishness"

The imprisoned mayor of Tirana, Erion Veliaj, who is now expected to be tried on 13 serious criminal charges, has begun his "battle" with Prime Minister Rama. A battle that is actually related to the political career of the mayor of Tirana, which comes with a career in war with the socialists in 2004 as a close associate of Berisha, then as an ally of Edi Rama, receiving only a "handful of votes" as "99-ç" in 2009.

Later, he became a member of parliament and minister, and is now imprisoned for serious criminal offenses on charges of corruption, laundering the proceeds of crime, etc.

Erion Veliaj's fate is "hope and folly" at these moments. Hope, on his part, to save his image and figure. We saw and read this in the intercepts published by the media and in particular by CNA, where it seemed that the mayor had hope to return to politics, to be in his posts, to have some activity.

The people even have a saying, "Hope dies last."

Erion Veliaj's stupidity begins with foreign lawyers, with his lies that his rights are being violated by not being allowed to have an English or American lawyer. In fact, he and his Albanian lawyers know very well that the Criminal Code is clear: you can only be represented by two lawyers. And Erion Veliaj has two Albanian lawyers. You can be represented by foreign lawyers when they are representatives of law firms in one of the EU countries. Neither the US nor Britain are part of the EU.

So, this is one of the first stupidities, from the public "self-deprecations" that Erion Veliaj makes, who apparently wants to use them in Strasbourg. In fact, he can't even use them in the municipality's legal office, with Alban Dokushi, because even the latter would have thrown these theses in the face.

The accusation goes to the media that the media leaked the investigative secrets, when in fact everything came out after the documents were given to Erion Veliaj's lawyers. Is it a coincidence that the lawyers gave them or confirmed them to journalists and then accused the media of having leaked them and the source was the prosecutors?!

Fati i Erion Veliajt është vërtetë shpresë dhe marrëzi. Dikush mund t’i uronte paç fatin e k**vës, siç është një shprehje popullore.

Në fakt, Erion Veliaj ka fatin e tij. Nuk ka qenë kurrë në nivelin e një qytetari dhe intelektuali që duhet të përfaqësojë kryetarin e Bashkisë së Tiranës.

Nuk mundi dot kurrë të shkëputej nga lidhja me karrigen e tij, pra të jepte dorëheqjen kur po hetohej. Të dilte i pafajshëm dhe pastaj kishte një karrierë të ndritur politike përpara. Por dhe sot po përpiqet të krijojë një lëmsh te socialistët, një rrëmujë. Vazhdon me mashtrime, me lëvizje që tregojnë sërish marrëzi.

Del publikisht dhe thotë se kërkon të dëgjohet. Në fakt, që të dëgjohet në Këshillin Bashkiak duhet t’u drejtohej prokurorëve, jo Këshillit Bashkiak. Ka mundësinë ta regjistrojë me audio, ka mundësinë ta shkruajë, ta dërgojë. Të gjitha këto janë lëvizje të pashpresa të kryebashkiakut Veliaj, sepse Asambleja socialiste, kryeministri, kryetari i partisë së tij, që e ka kandiduar, doli dhe tha të shkarkohet. Nuk pati kurajë Erion Veliaj të jepte dorëheqjen pas vendimit të Gjykatës së Apelit, por vazhdoi dhe u përpëlit e u tërhoq zvarrë, për t’u përballur me Edi Ramën.
