Requests to certify the apartment, former owner in life imprisonment

The next issue broadcast this Monday, June 1st, is related to citizen Afërdita Bejleri, who says that she purchased an apartment in 2008 with a sales contract, but has been unable to certify the property for years.

According to the Cadastre, she needs the family certificate of the former owners for 2006. She has managed to find one of the co-owners, while the other has not, as he is in life imprisonment and she has had no contact with him.

"They asked me for the certificates of the co-owners who sold the apartment. I found one person's and gave me the certificate, while I can't find the other person's. It's pretty difficult to find him and I can't find a way to find him because he is in life imprisonment. Then it turns out he is in life imprisonment and I am in a life-long problem then. I ask for your help, please help me," the citizen expressed with concern.

Verifications revealed that the apartment had undergone a legalization procedure, as the building had been abandoned.

Cadastral lawyer Mariglen Loca explains that the family certificate is a necessary document to prove the seller's marital status at the time of the apartment sale and without it, the procedure cannot continue.

"This is a very important procedure as the marital property regime must be verified and cannot be avoided in any way," Loca asserted.

After the intervention of the show "Stop", the General Directorate of Prisons was contacted and a solution was found:
