The case published today, May 21st, on the show "Stop" is related to citizen Erjona Hoxha, who presents herself as a former tax employee and is accused of defrauding a citizen by promising to provide him with a low-priced apartment, allegedly blocked by banks.

A taxi driver, who operates on the Albania-Turkey route, contacted her and, convinced by her promises, initially gave her a 10,000 euro deposit for the purchase of a house near the Train Station area, which she said would be completed within 10 days. But the deadline passed without any results.

"He told me what I could help him with because I had been in the tax department, I told him as a hawker about a house, an entrance, I told him if he was free, that we couldn't. He told me 'yes, I'll help you'. He had worked in the tax department, I had taken him a couple of times because he was sick, that's what he told me."

Hoxha then asked for other amounts of money, justifying himself with personal needs such as medication or help for family members.

"I believed again, because he called me and told me I had to pay 3200 pounds for this Erjonen, because he told me he needed medicine that came from England and there was no one to pay for it. He said 'oh please bring it to Turkey'. I got into debt, I went and brought the medicine... I had known him for two or three months but I trusted him."

In total, the citizen claims to have given her around 14 thousand euros. Despite repeated promises, the house was never secured and only part of the money was returned.

According to the communications obtained, it appears that 7,500 euros still remain unpaid.

"He tells me he'll give it to me today, he'll give it to me tomorrow. To be realistic, he gave me one million lek and I'm left with 7,500 euros."
