On the other hand, CNA has learned that Tirana Municipality leaders are being persistently asked to be present, saying that they should go to the Administrative Court to support the mayor.

The Municipality of Tirana itself has shamefully been included in the lawsuit that Erion Veliaj has filed against prosecutor Ols Dado. The reason why the Municipality of Tirana has been included is unknown, since this institution was not named as the defendant, but the citizen Erion Veliaj, in his capacity as mayor, was named as the defendant for the legal violations he has committed and faces 13 serious criminal charges.

The Municipality of Tirana has itself been involved in this lawsuit, which in fact implicates it in an issue where it should not have been involved.

For this reason, CNA, on February 13, 2026, sent several letters to the Municipality of Tirana, which refuses to answer the question: Why was it included in the report against prosecutor Ols Dado and why does this municipality not file reports against other prosecutors? That there may be dozens of other prosecutors for whom there may be suspicions or claims that they were appointed in the same manner as Ols Dado.
