The CNA editorial office has received a complaint from the village of Muhurr in Dibër. The complaint concerns the condition of the village's bridge over the Drin River, which poses a danger to the residents of the area due to erosion by the river.

As can be seen from the images provided by CNA, the bridge's legs have come out of the water due to the river's uncontrolled erosion. This situation threatens to collapse the bridge and the road.

The excavations in the Drin River bed, according to the complaint, are being carried out by a quarry located in the village.

Village residents and public transport drivers have expressed their concern about the condition of the bridge and the danger it poses to local institutions, but there has been no reaction.

According to the complainant, one of the residents was even threatened with death by the quarry owners after complaining to local institutions.

Village residents say that this area is frequented by many tourists, for camping or various tourist guides. The dilapidated condition of the bridge and the risk of the road collapsing mean that tourists no longer go to the village of Muhurr in Dibra.

Public transport drivers and residents of the village of Muhurr appeal for intervention from local authorities of the Peshkopi Municipality and from central authorities to prevent this natural massacre that is taking place in the Drin River. They say that they feel endangered by the inert materials being taken into the Drin River.
