The leader of the DP for Tirana, Belind Kelliçi, spoke about the arrests of the directors of the Municipality of Tirana by order of SPAK.

Kelliçi said in an interview with Ina Qirjo that the directors of the 5 D file, who were arrested, were the leaders of the electoral campaign of Erion Veliaj in the elections of May 14, 2023.

He stated that Taulant Tusha was the chief of staff.

The former deputy denounced that Veliaj is trying to save himself from corruption with the 5 D company, while he raised accusations that the mayor of Tirana was aware of everything.

"The 5D company was in the hands of some directors, who gave tenders to their family members. When I received the information it was borderline unbelievable. Based on my statement by the DP chairman in Tirana, SPAK has started investigations. SPAK acted partially today. This is another move by Veliaj to save the skin. I have made other reports. I have denounced the management chain of Tirana Municipality. These are also the leaders of the electoral campaign of Veliaj on May 14, 2023. The chief of staff was Taulant Tusha.

How is it possible that Veliaj does not know anything about what is done in the municipality? No one can believe this fable. Today, as we speak, Tirana Municipality is considered the most corrupt institution in Albania, but even there there are honest individuals. SPAK would do well to act in this case as it did with the director of ARRSH. SPAK to seize all illegal assets. The same standard should also apply to the incumbents of the Municipality of Tirana.
