Murder of Ardian Nikulaj / Lezha Prosecution files complaint against Portuguese

The Lezha Prosecution has requested life imprisonment for Portuguese Ruben Saraiva, the perpetrator of the murder of Ardian Nikulaj in Shëngjin. The claim from the Prosecution was made in the court session held today and which lasted one hour.

The murder of Ardian Nikulaj occurred in April 2023. He was in his bar when the hired killer entered the bar and emptied his gun, leaving him dead. 

Ruben Saraiva was arrested in Morocco on May 8, 2023 on behalf of the Albanian authorities and extradited to our country on December 31 of that same year.

The rest of the criminal group, Edmond Haxhia, Stephen Hunt, Thomas Mithan, Harriet Bridgeman and Harry Simson, have also been arrested in Great Britain for the murder of Ardian Nikulaj, for whom there is still no extradition decision to Albania.

The main clue to the murder of businessman Ardian Nikulaj is that of revenge between the Nikulaj and Lekstakaj clans that began many years ago. According to investigators, the organizer of the assassination was Edmond Haxhia; Ruben Saraiva in the role of the executor, while the others in the role of assistants. /CNA
