The Ministry of Internal Affairs has announced a call for applications for the position of General Director of the State Police, in accordance with Law No. 82/2024 "On the State Police" and Instruction of the Minister of Internal Affairs No. 160, dated 2.9.2024.

Candidates must meet several general criteria, including:

-Have one of the ranks of a middle management role;

-Albanian citizenship;

-Not be convicted of criminal offenses;

-Not have any disciplinary measures within the last 5 years;

-Be in good health and free from conflict of interest.

The required documentation includes an updated resume, a personal platform with the objectives that the candidate proposes to pursue, self-declarations on integrity and conflict of interest, court testimony, documentation of professional experience and results achieved in studies or training, as well as a health document proving the ability to work.

Candidates must submit their application within 7 days from the announcement of the call, until March 11, 2026, to the postal address of the Ministry of Internal Affairs in Tirana or to the electronic address: [email protected].

After submission, the Special Commission will conduct a preliminary evaluation of the candidates and organize hearings for all interested parties, then publishing the final ranking of candidates who meet the legal requirements.
