Former head of the State Police, Gledis Nano, spoke in a television appearance about his removal from office.
Nano stated that two of the events that coincided with his removal from office were the death of a 7-year-old girl in Potam, Himara, and the disappearance of Ervis Martinaj.
The former police chief stated that Martinaj's disappearance is being investigated by the State Police.
" The event that personally and professionally affected me was the Himara incident in Potam, the death of a minor and surprisingly it took on some dimensions since the driver of the vehicle was a police officer. This event remains in my memory even today, but it coincided with the time when I left the State Police. The disappearance or kidnapping of Ervis Martinaj was investigated by the State Police, and it was during the period that I left ," said Nano.
