Leader of the Democratic Party Sali Berisha also commented today on the dismissal of Ilir Proda from his position as Director General of the State Police and the appointment of Sokol Bizhga in his place.

Berisha said that Bizhga, in his opinion, should be punished for high treason, while adding that Rama removed Proda because he did not "protect Enver's villa."

"A fierce enemy of the law, a traitor to his colleague, who burned Gjergj Mehmeti alive in a car by criminals and he escaped. And he comes out and says that I went through the hills and mountains like a partisan, this guy."

"This is a traitor who deserves to be punished for high treason against his friend, against his fellow soldier, for at least 30 years. That's why Edi Rama put him there now, removed Proda for not defending Enver's villa and now put this against the opposition.
