Race for the new head of the State Police / Dozens of candidacies expected

Following the dismissal of Ilir Proda, the process for selecting his successor as head of the State Police will go through an open competition.

Sources for CNA indicate that there are expected to be dozens of candidates aiming for the position of Director General. According to the procedure, initially a competition will be opened and the candidacies will be evaluated.

After completing the re-evaluation process, the Minister of Interior will send the selected name to the Prime Minister for final approval.

Until the end of this competition, the task will be carried out by Commander Sokol Bizhga, while the procedure for the competition is expected to be concluded next week. /CNA
