The head of the Audiovisual Media Authority, Armela Krasniqi, has reacted sharply to the broadcast in some media of serious images from the tragic accident that occurred this Sunday in Durrës, which resulted in the deaths of two children and the death of another in serious condition.

Through a post on social media, Krasniqi describes it as an abuse of human pain and a disaster that some media outlets and journalists have used only to get clicks.

Krasniqi calls for sharing information and not trauma through reporting, without losing the human aspect of journalism.

Enough! What is happening is not journalism – it is an abuse of human pain. It is not reporting when violence, tragedy and disaster are turned into a hunger for clicks.

To "kill" and re-kill, to expose open wounds and feed the public with screams of pain and human shock, is a serious violation of ethics and every standard.

Journalists and media leaders, be responsible! You are not just news broadcasters – you are shapers of public conscience. Every irresponsible word hurts, every exaggerated headline damages, every line crossed destroys trust in you!

Respect dignity! Protect victims. Share information, not trauma.
