The Director of the Albanian Road Authority, Ami Kozeli, explained today the reasons why the Rinas overpass must be dismantled.

In a television appearance, Kozeli said that this overpass should be dismantled because it coincides with the expansion of the Tirana-Durres axis, with the plan to go to the same width.

According to Kozel, the traffic diversion will continue from the toll road and the free road towards Rinas, while towards Durrës, passage will be possible via the Vora road.

 "It must be dismantled because it coincides with the expansion of the road axis, so that we can go with the same width. Currently, we are going from 3 lanes to 2 lanes. With the dismantling of the Rinasti overpass, it is necessary to inform what the traffic will be like: to go to Rinas from Tirana, there will be two options, the current one, that is, the free road that is currently, through the provisional ramp, and the toll one of course. Meanwhile, in the Durrës-Tirana direction, the free road will be that of Vora. The new overpass will be 94 meters long. I do not have a specific deadline for the construction of the overpass, but it is a few months", declared Kozeli./CNA
