Renowned Albanian soprano Luiza Çako Papa passed away today. It is reported that the artist passed away of natural causes.

Luiza Çako has a long artistic and stage career. Some of her most prominent roles are:

1. Albanian opera “Vjosa”, in the role of Zela in the 1980 premiere;

2. Operetta “The Princess of Çardasht” (Emmerich Kalman) with the role of Silva (Sylva Varescu);

3. Musetta in Puccini's "La Bohème." Her "Quando me'n vo" is also mentioned as a standout moment;

5. Norina in "Don Pasquale" (Donizetti);

6. Rosina in "The Barber of Seville" (Rossini);

7. Gilda in "Rigoletto" (Verdi);
