The Minister of Infrastructure and Energy, Enea Karakaçi, inspected this Wednesday the construction works for the Elbasan-Papër road axis, which are currently in the first phase.

In his speech during the inspection, Karakaçi focused on the importance of this segment, which according to him is related to Corridor VIII, conceived in a three-phase division.

According to the minister, work on this segment is continuing and so far has progressed at a satisfactory pace.

"This is an important segment, as it is connected to Corridor VIII, which is conceived as divided into three phases. The first phase is Elbasan-Qafë Thanë, which is already contracted, except for some landslides that we have had the opportunity to see. I believe the work has progressed at a satisfactory pace and the work continues. Somewhere here, Corridor VIII connects to the Elbasan Bypass and the tender procedure should begin very soon and then it connects to Elbasan-Papër and the Grykshit Bridge", - said Karakaçi. /CNA
