Tirana Police Director, Oliger Torba, gave a statement to the media from the site where the murder of citizen AB occurred, a little earlier in Kamëz.

Torba announced that efforts are underway to capture the perpetrator of the murder, while announcing that RENEA forces have also been engaged in the operation, due to the dangerous nature of the perpetrator.

He added that the incident occurred on "Dervish Luzha" street, while details about the circumstances and causes will be provided at a later date.

Meanwhile, he announced that the victim was taken to the hospital in a citizen's vehicle and not by ambulance.

"From the initial findings, it has resulted that the victim was injured by a firearm. The perpetrator has been identified and efforts are underway to capture the perpetrator. Given the dangerous nature of the perpetrator, RENEA forces have also been engaged in the operation to capture him. The incident occurred on the road. We will provide all information about the causes and circumstances at a later date. The perpetrator was in a vehicle. It is being investigated to find a specific location.
