The Director of the Institute of Statistics (INSTAT), Elsa Dhuli, was present today in the Economy Committee.

Among other things, Dhuli focused on the Agricultural Census, which he said is expected to begin in the fall of 2026.

Dhuli stated that this census will have an estimated cost of 9.2 million euros, which according to her have been requested as funding from the state budget.

"Regarding the Agricultural Census, its strategy is currently in the process of official approval. It depends on the approval of the draft law, which has been consulted. Reflections are currently being made on this census. The estimated cost is 9.2 million euros, which have been requested from the state budget. INSTAT is collaborating with the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development to carry out this process," said Dhuli.

The Agricultural Census aims to provide a detailed overview of the state of Albanian agriculture, to enable better planning and the implementation of effective policies for the sustainable development of this sector. /CNA
