The Minister of Education and Sports, Ogerta Manastirliu, was today at the "Myslym Keta" gymnasium, where she saw the new Artificial Intelligence laboratory up close.

"The fact that today we have 25 Artificial Intelligence laboratories in our schools, the fact that within 2 years we will have 2,000 students who will be trained for Artificial Intelligence programs and more than 140 teachers have also been trained and become part of this large network of teachers, who will be further trained in terms of information technology, is a very good basis for tomorrow to increase even more the number of Artificial Intelligence laboratories, but above all the beneficiaries of these laboratories", he said.

The Minister emphasized the Professional Development Program for Teachers, as a program dedicated to the continuous training of teachers, with a special focus on those who learn science, languages ??and technology (ICT). This program, said Manastirliu, aims to support and empower teachers in improving digital skills, responding to the needs in the development of teaching methodologies in a world increasingly influenced by technology.

The "Myslym Keta" school in Kombinat is undergoing reconstruction, with funding from the EU4Schools program, implemented by UNDP. During the visit, the Minister emphasized that within this year, the school will be transformed to offer conditions of contemporary standards. This includes expanding capacity with new classrooms, a new gym and a state-of-the-art library.

"The gym is being rebuilt with the best conditions. The new library and additional classes will make the 'Myslym Keta' gymnasium an educational institution with high standards", declared Manastirliu.

The minister added that the goal is to complete the rehabilitation of 100 schools within the year, through the budget of the Ministry, municipalities and the Reconstruction Program, with the support of international partners./ CNA
