The Director of the Local Police in Lezha, Arben Nasufi, spoke about the assassination attempt that occurred today in the village of Balldren, where the victims were a married couple. According to Nasufi, the victims' vehicle was hit by a hail of bullets while moving.

He also announced that an investigative group has been established and all actions are being taken to fully uncover the dynamics of the assassination and identify the perpetrators.

"The operational room of the Lezha local police department received information about gunshots in Balldre. Police services immediately arrived at the scene. It was found that while a vehicle was moving, it was shot with gunfire. Doctors have confirmed the loss of life of two people, a man and a woman. The news is very serious. An investigative group has been set up under the direction of the prosecutor, and all operational actions are being carried out on the ground. We are working intensively, collecting every piece of evidence at the scene, with the aim of a full investigation, clarifying all the dynamics and discovering the perpetrators and holding them accountable," said Nasufi. /CNA
