Journalist Klodiana Lala revealed today the reasons why the Special Prosecution Office decided to postpone the investigations against former Deputy Prime Minister Belinda Balluku by three months.

Lala said in a television studio that this postponement is being done because more time was needed to review new evidence that was found during the investigation of the case.

 "Special prosecutors have decided to extend the investigations into the accused Deputy Prime Minister Belinda Balluku by another 3 months. They motivate this decision with the aim of requesting more time to conduct additional investigations. Because there are still many people who have knowledge and need to be questioned, there are many cell phones as evidence that need to be analyzed and expertized, there are many ministry documents that need to be verified and investigated and for these reasons the prosecutors have concluded that this deadline should be extended and on April 13 they made the request. They will make a decision on the investigations against her within a 3-month period," said Lala./CNA
