Journalist Klodiana Lala said today that despite the presumption of innocence until a verdict, the former director of AKSHI, Mirlinda Karçanaj, turns out to have hidden assets.

In a television appearance, Lala stated that Karçanaj's assets include two luxury apartments in the capital, a duplex in the Qerret area, and arable land.

As Lala points out, investigations may also bring to light other assets.

"She may be innocent. SPAK has managed to prove that Ms. Karcanaj had secret properties, 2 luxury apartments in Tirana and a duplex in Qerret and an arable land. Who knows how many other assets the investigation may bring to light. There are two moments that need to be said; it is not the typical case that an official has committed a violation, and their assets are being seized.
