DP MP Ivi Kaso spoke about the protest held yesterday and the tear gas incident involving Democratic Party leader Sali Berisha.

In a television appearance, Kaso said that they have information from within the police that there are certain people who are targeting senior leaders of the Democratic Party.

According to the MP, all incidents at the opposition protests were ordered by Prime Minister Edi Rama to intimidate the protesters.

"Even in the last protest, Mr. Berisha was targeted for attack with water cannons, while in an earlier protest, he was targeted by the security forces for attack with spray.

We have information from within the state police that individuals have been designated who are tasked with targeting and attacking the leadership and senior leaders of the DP, such as Mr. Berisha, Luciano Boçi, and Flamur Noka.

"Those who drive the water cannons have received the same message. These are incidents targeted and ordered by Edi Rama and executed with zeal by the commanding police director Sokol Bizhga, who is known for such acts against the opposition, with the aim of intimidating, above all, those who participate in the protests," Kaso said. /CNA
