A cattle barn in Kolonjë is engulfed in fire

A fire in the area called Pelivor, below the village of Gostivisht in the municipality of Kolonjë, has caused considerable material damage, but fortunately without any human casualties.

According to information, the flames have engulfed a cattle barn, burning about 40 quintals of corn and barley, as well as 150 bales of alfalfa.

It is previously reported that the cause of the fire was the carelessness of the owner himself, in the environment where he was staying. The forces of the Kolonja Fire Service intervened at the scene with two fire engines, which made it possible to extinguish the flames.

Thanks to timely intervention, it was possible to prevent the fire from spreading to an oak forest area located near the stable, thus avoiding even more serious consequences for the area. /CNA
